WEDNESDAY
NIGHT -- the night before Fight Day Tom O'Reilly never thought he'd be put in
this situation, but here he was, less than a day before he had to face Sam
Reed to literally battle for his job. It wasn't that Tom couldn’t handle
himself. After all, the man was 5'11" of nearly flawless 6% bodyfat
perfection. His suits had to be hand-tailored to handle his 46" chest
and his 28" waist. His shirts had to be specially measured to handle
the flare of his lats tapering down to his narrow and six-packed waistline.
His legs were lean, solid and hard.... not huge, but with 25” thighs,
he was well-proportioned for his size. As he got home, he thought about what
was to come, and his stomach knotted. It wasn’t that Tom couldn't fight....
hell, he loved getting into bar brawls and knocking the shit out of some
drunk asshole with a big mouth. He liked the feeling of his fist
connecting to a man's face, and the power of busting a guy up and open before
mercifully putting him out of his misery.
My First Boxing
Lesson

There comes a time in your life when people around you start
to slow down. If you’re smart, you see the signals and start doing something
about it. I manage an auto parts store and spend entirely too much time behind
a desk. Luckily for me, the guys who work for me are a lot younger and that
keeps me going.
Warehouse One

The heat in the windowless room had risen at least ten degrees since the first
sales fight took place, and now an hour later, even wearing a t-shirt was too
much. So as Steve Stanhorn and Jeff Powell circled each other, Stanhorn raised
his hands to the neck of his t-shirt, and in one slow motion, ripped it from
collar to bottom seam, slowly revealing the already sweaty mass of muscle that
was his chest and abs. Everyone in the room was impressed with this display of
muscle, including Jeff, but Jeff couldn't be distracted by the show put on in
front of him: he had to keep his head about him and fight.
The Ticket

I absolutely love days like this. The sun is shining
and I've just finished restoring my classic AC Cobra. The hills make a perfect place to take her
out for a spin and wind it up a little. I enjoy the wind blowing through my
hair, what there is of it. My buds at the gym give me a bad time because my
buzz cut black hair and deep dark tan damn near make me look like a
"brother". Not that I mind a bit.

Battle One

That night, the men went home and dealt with the sudden pressures put upon them
in different ways. Tony Terrelli couldn't stand still......he got home, and
without even changing threw his jock, sneaks, sox and shorts along with his tight
bag gloves into his gym bag and headed out to the gym. Once there, he relaxed
just a little watching the guys in the locker room stripping after and before
their workouts. The scent of ripe man pits and jockstraps hit him in the face
as he walked in, and he made a mental note to remember to wear his jock to the
office in the morning, under his suit, for protection, and some inspiration.
Fighting for Your
Job -- Setup

Jack Baker was a successful businessman, building his moderate but financially
stable empire on hard work, sweat and determination. Starting out on the
streets as a peddler, he knew a man who can sweat and work with his hands is a
man who will be employed all his life. It is those prissy boys who started and
will end their lives behind a desk, pushing paper, who need to rely on shrinks
and pills to keep themselves together. not Jack or his men.... they were set
for life.... or so he thought.
Dan “The Destroyer” Wang Tries Again
By
The Mangler
After his disastrous debut, Dan was much more cautious
and guarded. He had also watched several
matches here at the Redneck Arena so he now feels that he has a better grasp on
the entire situation. He is well aware
that he doesn’t know it all, but believes that he has the jist of it and can at
least not be totally humiliated in the ring.
He is standing in the back hallway waiting for his introduction when the
Choirboy walks by and slaps him on the ass.

Building Supplies
By
Gym Dude
There
is just something about guys and their local home supply center. It is
somehow entertaining to just take a few hours and explore this giant building
full of toys. It was getting to be that time of year for my annual visit to the
garden center. That means I’ve either finished or run out of plans for
nearly everything else. I’m not usually considered to be the ‘garden’
type but I’ve always wanted some kind of water feature near the patio in back
and have never been able to find just the right thing.
