Montgomery vs Scum

[This is vintage Mangler.  As such, it is more intense and more violent than some of my more recent offerings.  Hope you enjoy it.]

 Montgomery vs. Scum

To say there was no love lost between the two combatants for the next match would be the understatement of the century.  These two had battled it out in almost every conceivable type of match and still had not resolved their issues.  Scum was particularly known for rule-breaking and deviousness, but Montgomery had learned and also had his fair share of deceit.  Scum had won most of the matches, not based on skill, but by cheating.  Several matches had ended when the time expired.  Monty was close to winning in all of these matches, but time “expired.”  Monty felt he was cheated in each instance – and he was.  Time was called early, but Monty couldn’t prove it.

Scum’s posse was known as Skid Row Scum (see Champ’s Mistake) and contained him and two of his fellow skinheads, Skid and Row.  Montgomery was initially a solitary wrestler (why did it take so long for faces to figure out they needed backup?) but had recently been backed up by some other faces trying to slow down Skid Row Scum.  In matches against Scum, Monty was more willing to use heel tactics.

Champ's Mistake

Champ's Mistake

Caleb Wentworth was feeling great. He had just had a successful defense of his heavyweight wrestling belt, had an incredible sexual encounter with one of his many female admirers, and just received a fantastic contract offer. He decided to celebrate at a local bar. Since he was only in town because of the fight, he wasn't really familiar with the area and decided on a bar near the hotel. It was an okay place with a very mixed clientele of customers.

During his second beer, he engaged in a rather heated conversation with several young punkers. When they challenged him to a two-on-one wrestling match at the local gym, he accepted by replying, "There is no way a couple of Skidrow Scum like you could beat a muscle god like me." The match was on. Another of the bar patrons, a rookie wrestler in the same league as Caleb and with a promising career, was chosen as the referee. Since Caleb already knew him, he felt it was a good choice. Unfortunately for Caleb, he was a former punker and knew the two challengers well.
