Event 2 Match 4:
Break Match: Ty vs.
"Dozer"
After
about ten minutes in which the crowd moved around, hitting up bathrooms and
stepping out for cigarettes, George called a very unready Ty back to the ring.
"Our
next match is a submission-break match. This means that if either man submits,
the match does not end, but goes on, after a two-minute break, until a pin or
some other form of elimination happens. The underdog in this match, at 145
pounds, TY!" The crowd went nuts for Ty as he came back to the ring in his
black and gold singlet, though he winced with almost every serious breath.
"And
his opponent, a powerful man at 326 pounds, DOZER!" Dozer came to the ring
in black trunks, his bare chest and broad shoulders looking huge as he stepped
over the ropes and prepared to square off with Ty. After the bell rang, as they
circled, the big man said, "I hear you're tough, you can take a lot."
Ty, defiant of the heel and his own pain, replied, "more than you can dish out." Dozer dove, surprising the rookie, and headbutted Ty in the center of his chest. Ty landed on his butt in the corner, holding his chest and wheezing. George held Dozer back while Ty pulled himself to his feet, but as soon as Ty was up, Dozer rushed him, clotheslining the teen front-first into the turnbuckles. He pulled Ty out and slammed a forearm down across his shoulders. Again, he pounded down on Ty, and again and again until the kid was on his hands and knees.
Then
Dozer picked Ty up from behind as for a slam, walked him to the middle of the
ring, and cracked him over his knee. Ty rolled off the heavy's knee onto the
mat, curling up in pain. Dozer pulled him right back up and whipped him back
into the corner. The heavyweight side-stepped an attempted kick from Ty and
shoulder blocked the kid into the corner. He turned Ty around and hung his arms
over the top rope. Then Dozer grabbed the middle rope and began driving his
head into the rookie's lower back. Ty screamed each time the heavy dozed him,
and after four blows fell off the ropes to the mat. Dozer smiled out at the
crowd as he began stomping Ty's back, kicking the boy mercilessly until George
made him back off. Tyler slowly pulled himself up in the corner, but only got
to one knee before Dozer bulldozed past George and brought his elbow down on
the kid's head.
Ty
fell to his butt on the mat, but was soon being dragged by a shoulder-strap to
the center of the ring. There, Dozer pulled him up and lifted the dazed teen
high above him in a gorilla press. He held Ty there for a minute before pushing
the jobber up, and nailing him with a kick to the back on his way down. Ty
bounced on the mat and rolled from the kick. Before he hit the ropes, though,
Dozer had a handful of his singlet and was pulling him back up.
The
heavyweight crotch-lifted Ty and slammed his back squarely down on the mat. The
teen's back was in agony, but he was afforded no rest, for Dozer pulled him
back up just seconds later. Again, he crotch-lifted Ty, but this time he ran
toward a corner and slammed the kid's lower back on the top turnbuckle before
tying him up in a tree of woe. Dozer left Ty hanging there, grabbed his head
and pushed it back behind the bottom rope, stretching the teen back nastily and
choking him on the rope. Then Dozer began stomping, pounding his boot into Ty's
gut over and over, while the tormented teen tried in vain to free himself of
the ropes. Eventually, George pushed past Dozer and freed Ty, who fell face
first on the mat, then rolled onto his side and curled up in a ball.
Dozer
took a minute to pose for the crowd, during which Ty groveled on the mat in the
corner. The heavy was tricky, and bulldozed Ty as soon as George was out of the
way. He pulled the beaten jobber out of the corner and lifted him once again as
for a slam. He walked Ty to the center of the ring, and slammed the teen's back
over his knee. He didn't let go, though, and stood right up only to slam
Tyler's back across his knee two more times.
After
this, he held the kid on his knee and, with one hand on Ty's chin and one on
his knee, bent him virtually in half across it. Ty was in agony, and screaming
in pain as Dozer bent him further and further. George asked if he wanted to
submit, but Ty resisted. Then, after almost a minute in the excruciating hold,
just before he was going to scream a submission, Ty was saved the effort by
Dozer, who rolled the teen off his knee to the mat.
Dozer
stood up, and Tyler curled up, his back in tatters. The big man preened for the
audience for a moment while Tyler groveled. Then he bounced off the ropes and
jumped into a vicious headbutt. Still, when Dozer pressed a hand down on Ty's
chest for a pin, the kid managed to kick out after only two. So, Dozer got up,
and pulled Tyler to his feet once more. The heavyweight whipped Ty into the
ropes, and met his return with a vicious clothesline, which flipped poor Tyler
over so he landed on his chest and face on the mat. After dropping a knee to
the kid's lower back, Dozer pulled him up again. Ty was virtually dead on his
feet, and didn't resist as Dozer grabbed one of his arms behind his back,
lifted him for a sidewalk slam, and plowed him to the mat with one arm under
his back.
Ty
screamed as he hit, but would soon scream himself hoarse, as Dozer yanked him
up off the mat again and onto his shoulders for a torture rack. Bent backwards
around the heavy's huge shoulders, Tyler screamed like he didn't know he could.
Despite the crowd's chanting in support of him, Ty had to submit when George
asked him.
Informed
of the submission, Dozer gave Ty's body one final yank down around his
shoulders, and then dropped him back on the mat. The heavyweight walked to the
ropes and raised his arms, beaming in victory... until George reminded him that
Ty now got a two-minute break, and then the match would continue. Dozer was
furious. "What the hell! So that was for nothing!"
George
had to restrain Dozer several times from charging Ty as he recovered in his
corner. Finally, as the bell rang for the match to go on, Dozer yelled at Ty,
"FINE! I'll just have to break him so bad he can't get a shoulder
up."
They
approached the center of the ring. Ty looked utterly exhausted, the pre-match
squashing and his during- match beating obviously having taken a toll. When
Dozer lunged at him, Ty just couldn't move fast enough, and the big man managed
to shoulder-block the kid back against the ropes. He threw Ty toward the
opposite ropes, and planted a boot in the boy's gut as he came running back. Ty
fell to his knees, holding his gut like he was about to be sick. Dozer
approached and brought an elbow down on the kid's forehead, making him fall
back to the mat. Ty lay dazed, with one hand on his belly and one on his head,
and didn't even see Dozer coming before he drilled the boy with a knee across
his chest. Ty jerked as Dozer landed and then got up, and offered no resistance
as the heavy pulled him up again. Ty stood only because Dozer held him up by
the front of his singlet, and flew back to the mat when the heavyweight nailed
him in the face with a punch that drew a heated warning from George.
When
Dozer had managed to shut George up, he pulled the kid back to his feet and
whipped him into a corner. Ty's back slammed into the turnbuckles, and he fell
to his knees in the corner. Dozer approached, utterly ignoring a weak gut punch
by Ty, and pulled the kid up and backed him in. With a hand on Ty's face
holding him in the corner, Dozer began nailing the poor teen with blows to his
gut, until George threatened DQ over the closed fists.
So,
the heavy draped Ty's arms over the top rope, and spread his legs around the
middle rope. With Ty trapped, Dozer set to work chopping the hell out of his
chest, turning it bright red by the time George insisted he pull Ty out of the
ropes. Dozer obliged, and whipped Ty across the ring into the opposite corner.
The heavy ran and went for a spear, but Ty managed to move just in time and
Dozer's head slammed into the top turnbuckle. He fell back to the mat, dazed,
while Ty took a minute to catch his breath. Then he pulled the heavyweight to
his feet, wrapped an arm around his head, and DDTed him right back to the mat.
Ty covered, hooking a leg and curling Dozer up as tight as he could. Still,
after two, the big man kicked out.
Ty
got up and hit the ropes. He rebounded fast and leapt onto Dozer with a leg
drop. By the time Ty hit a second leg drop, Dozer was on his hands and knees
and Ty fell right off onto the mat. Dozer got to his feet and shook his head
clear as Ty rolled to the ropes and got back up.
When
Dozer approached the center of the ring, he lifted a hand to challenge Ty to a
test of strength. Stupidly, the lightweight took the challenge, moving in and
lacing his fingers with Dozer's. In seconds, Ty was on his knees before the
heavyweight, with Dozer bearing down on him hard and heavy. Yet the lightweight
began to fight back. The audience worked itself toward frenzy as Ty first got
back to one foot, then pushed up onto the other.
Unfortunately,
Ty was still bent way back and his singlet- trapped crotch was too tempting a
target for Dozer, who lifted a knee so hard into the boy's package that Ty
bounced up and landed on the mat a few feet away, screaming and holding his
busted balls. George, who had seen the low blow, warned Dozer to keep it clean
as the heavyweight lifted Ty up by a handful of his singlet.
Dozer
threw Ty into the ropes, and then dove into the kid on his rebound, again
headbutting him squarely in the chest. Ty landed on his butt against the ropes.
This time, George was too slow to enforce a break, and Dozer pulled Ty right
back up, only to headbutt the lightweight so hard that he fell through the
ropes and to the floor below.
On
the floor outside the ring, Ty lay extremely dazed. He slowly got to his feet
and climbed up onto the apron. Dozer quickly got around George and went after
him, but Ty managed to duck between the middle and top ropes and drive a
shoulder into Dozer's gut. Dozer didn't seem to notice, however. He backed up a
foot, and then brought his elbow down across Ty's shoulders and the back of his
head. The lightweight lost his footing and hung from the middle rope until
Dozer punted him in the chest and Ty fell back out to the floor. This time,
Dozer slipped right out under the bottom rope and went after Ty. He pulled the
boy to his feet and Irish-whipped him into the apron, impaling Ty's gut on the hard
steel. The boy fell back to the floor, only to be pulled up again and rolled
back into the ring.
Dozer
took his time climbing back into the ring. Ty lay on the mat, chest heaving,
holding his busted gut. The heavyweight took Ty's ankles, spread the lightweight's
legs, and stomped hard down into his gut. Ty doubled up on the mat and moaned
in pain for just a moment before Dozer pulled him back to standing. Dozer
pulled Ty up and threw him at the ropes. When the lightweight rebounded, Dozer
slammed a fist into his gut. Dozer's punch sank in deep, and Ty stopped dead in
his tracks.
The
big man then crotch-lifted Tyler from behind; but rather than gut-bust him over
his knee, Dozer held Ty and, while standing, brought the boy down while kicking
his knee up into his gut, five times. When Dozer finally threw his small
opponent to the mat, Ty seemed to be crying from the pain in his gut. Dozer
only smiled, more determined than ever to beat this boy. He dragged Ty to his
feet and whipped him once again into the corner. Again, Dozer attempted to ram
the boy. This time, he connected - again, not with Tyler, but not with a
turnbuckle either. As Ty leapt out of the way, the crowd was silenced by the
sound of Dozer's head colliding with the ring post - crack. The ring post
dislodged and crooked, Dozer was little better afterward, falling back to the
mat utterly dazed. Ty, however, was possibly worse, sprawled on the mat a few
feet from Dozer.
George
began a double count, and the crowd began to chant "TY - TY!" Slowly,
Ty rose before Dozer. He pulled himself up with the ropes and approached the
heavy, who had gotten to his knees. As Ty got close, Dozer attempted to nail
his gut with another big fist, but Ty side-stepped this. He grabbed the heavy's
head and bulldogged it to the mat. The audience was in hysterics. Ty rolled the
heavyweight over. He grabbed a leg and covered. 1-2-3.
No
one could believe it. A jobber had won! Ty had to be helped to his feet so he
could raise his arms in victory. Dane came out and helped him walk triumphantly
back to the ring, while Dozer, who had been pinned in 19 minutes, was roused by
George and flew into a rage on learning of his loss. Screaming, with no need
for the microphone, he let everyone in attendance, including the wrestlers in their
locker rooms, know that he would soon face Tyler again and destroy him.
