💥🎉  Happy Birthday 🎈🎇

BG East is 45

Wishing a very Happy Birthday to BG East.  Just got an email announcing their 45th birthday sale.  You should go on over and check it out.  I am feeling very old as I remember when BG East was born.  Their wrestling action filled a large portion of some of my lonely nights.

While there are many great wrestlers from that site (and time) I want to give a very special shout out to some of my very early favorites:  Sailor Rob, Andy Bailey, Tiger Collins, and, of course, the legend himself,  Kid Leopard.  (I used to have a photo set with a written description of one of my very first and favorite purchases which was of Kid Leopard and Any Bailey attacking and beating up the ref which was none other than Tiger Collins!  Lost it somewhere along the way.)

Hope BG East is around for another 45 years at least.  Who knows, in this day and age I might even make that. 😂

The Campground 2: Chad vs Tank

Campground 2:

Chad vs Tank

It was the first full day of Leather Week at the campground and to say that interest in the upcoming wrestling match was at an all-time high was saying a whole hell of a lot.  People started showing up for the "fight of the week" a couple of hours before the start time so that they could get a good spot to watch.  A six-foot "safety border" had been decreed around the ring and many people tried to "cheat" and get closer.  However, the orange-vested "safety" officers set those people straight.  The one unwritten rule at the campground was that you did not interfere with the "orange people" or you would find yourself banned from the grounds and possible future gatherings.

There had even been a couple of minor fights for position but things had finally settled down until there was some peace.  However, as fight time approached the atmosphere became louder and more intense.  This was probably the largest turnout for a match at the campground as it was a carryover from the final events of the previous season's leather week.  There was a loud chorus of boos as Spike, along with his friend Patriot, joined the audience.  He was unaffected by them.
