Survival of the Fittest I: Introductions

SURVIVAL Of the Fittest I:   Introductions

By

Gym Dude

First off, welcome to my gym. This is where I invest a lot of my time. It's similar to most 'good' gyms around. We have just enough 'glitz' to keep the 'masses' interested and yet we have about half the space set aside for serious lifters, like myself.

Apollo's Handicapped Match

[see Frat Wars, Hair versus Hair for the backstory to this match]

Apollo’s Handicapped Match

A Redneck Arena and Frat Wars Crossover Match

By

The Mangler

Tonight’s main event in the Redneck Arena was the consequence of a match between two fraternities in the local area.  Apollo had tried to skirt the rules of the match to win.  Unfortunately, he had abused Alex, who was refereeing the match, which he learned, much to his chagrin, was not something to do, or at least not lightly.  Tonight, he was involved in a handicapped match involving Alex and The Choirboy.  The Choirboy had a reputation as a heel’s heel and felt most anything was fair game.  Alex was more fair-minded, but for tonight, felt that Apollo needed a lesson.

New Mangler Story

Next Monday, September 28, I will be publishing a new Mangler story.  This is a follow up to
Fraternity Wars: Hair vs Hair, so you might wish to re-read that story to get up to date.

I do have ideas for a couple of other new Mangler stories, but  I am having writer's block so it may be a while.  In the meantime, I will continue to republish some old stories (I still have quite a few from Gym Dude who was a prolific writer).

Rookie of the Year

[To the blogger review team:  Many of my posts are suddenly saying that they are being placed behind a warning for containing sensitive content.  The ENTIRE blog is behind the adult setting with a sensitivity content.  Is this a second layer or something??  Most all of my posts would fit this description.  Is there something else I should be doing??]

Rookie of the Year

In the months following Ray's humiliating loss to Hector, his experience in the Underground Wrestling Circuit had improved dramatically. Since that defeat, he was on a six-match winning streak. Following his latest victory, Pedro informed Ray that he would be wrestling in a headline match where the winner would be declared the Rookie of the Year. Ray asked who his opponent would be. Pedro told Ray that his opponent was also a new wrestler: He had arrived about three months ago and since arriving was also on a six match winning streak.

Tag Team Challenge II

TAG-TEAM CHALLENGE II

-Handicap -

by

The Buffalo Bulldog

It’s been several months since Mike and Dave’s forced tag-team union and both men have been the tag-team to be reckoned with known as The Devastation Connection. It’s also been told from the local bar, Bulldog Lil’s in Rochester, that devastation isn’t the only word for the damage that these two big men have done.

Mark and Scott were both experienced wrestlers and friends. They had not fought each other before so this was to be their first match.

Ringside Revenge

He had agreed to do the match, but only on his terms. When his former promoter first called Adam and asked him to do a match for them, he almost hung up. He was, after all, the TV champion for the Texas Wrestling Federation. His wrestling career seemed to be made. It had been a year since Adam had left the small wrestling organization in Lubbock to join the ranks of the TWF in Houston. Since his move, his career as a wrestler had blossomed. He was getting better press and bigger matches. He knew how to do the flashy moves and had a body that any man would kill for. Topping off his success, he had just beaten the current TV champion, taking his title. Rod, "the Bod" Richards was furious with the promoters for the move too. He didn't like having his title taken away by a rookie with shiny trunks and superman moves. He was an old school wrestler, tough as nails, who had built a reputation as a real man's champion. The fact that this kid had come from nowhere and was given the title by the promoters was humiliating. So much so that Rod had resigned from the fed and left town. Of course, the promoters fed the press some line like Rod was injured or some such. It made no difference. The fans had Adam, their new TV champion. That was all that mattered.

Failure to Communicate

FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE

by Gym Dude

My name is Mark Phillips, and I work for a company that develops computer boards. One of my responsibilities involves setting up manufacturing plants and making sure that when they get up and running everything is interfacing with the rest of the company. That means travel and while I enjoy seeing new places and meeting new people, it really messes up my workout schedule. I don’t mean to sound narcissistic, but staying in shape is really important to me. It’s hard enough having to deal with restaurant food, but not getting my regular workouts is just not something I’m willing to put up with.

They call me Jim.  I’ve been a member of this gym for years, even before it became The Body Shop.  It used to be the City Gym until a couple of my buddies bought it but that’s  a long story for another time.
